Wait It's TEA TIME!!

Greetings Beautiful,

I had a fun and unique Saturday but was rushing and hanging with my kiddos that I didn't post my blog. I was so shocked when it flashed in my mind that I haven't posted yet. I couldn't believe I had missed the opportunity to really fellowship with God and to give the blog you will be reading. How could this have a happened? Simple, I get super excited when all 4 of my wonderful children say, “Mom we're going with you to the stores"! Then I get all excited and start rushing and doing hair and getting things lined up so they can have a great time with me for the day. Normally I rush off early before they get up on a Saturday, but this time they was up and ready to jet off with me. I love these moments because I'm not sure how long these moments of all 4 thinks it's super cool to follow mom to the stores on a Saturday.

Now you’re thinking that's a great thing, and yes it is an amazing thing. We went everywhere this Saturday. To the farmers market and all types of stores we went too. Yes, the farmers markets are really nice and we buy things we don't have access too such as pickles like those flavored pickles and fried plantains. Soo yummy... then I heard in my spirit when I got home was wait it's my time. Now, that was Holy Spirit reminding me that I had skipped out on our time together. No not just my regular prayer time, but our intimate time of us being together and me listening and getting things for my blogs. He talks to me about how He saw I could have done things better or different throughout the week. I love those moments and I allow my excitement to rob me of that time. That's no real excuse because I should have just said to my kids wait it's tea time. They would have understood that I needed to have my special time with God.

What other things do we allow to pull us away from our time with the Lord, no our special and intimate time with Him? He wants us to spend these moments with Him so He can really talk to us and we can talk to Him. He's our Father so we should have a ton to say to Him just like He has a ton to say to us. You're thinking I pray every day and yes you do but how long are you really spending the time with Him. Just time to bask in His Glory and feel His presence upon your face. God wants these moments with you and you should desire these special moments with Him. I had to repent because I pushed Him aside to go hang with my kids not for a few hours but we was hanging out like all day. I loved every minute of it. We went from store to store trying cool snacks, looking at new items that just hit the shelves. Oh it was so great! We should spend as much time as we can with our children.

Oh my gosh!!! Did you just notice how I started moving toward sharing about my amazing children and what we did Saturday? Yes, just that simple we can get pulled off of our moments with God. We have to get this phrase in our minds and hearts, “wait it's tea time". You will know that you have to stop and get that time in with God. We have to stop allowing everything and anything get in our way to spend with God. I love God and our relationship that we have, but even me a Pastor gets off focused from time to time. I have to get back on track and do what I need to do. This means I repent and strive for the mark the next time around. This is the times you can cast all your cares on God and really hear what He thinks and how you can solve every issue. He will tell you how much He loves you, how much He cares for you, and will tell you how He kept you safe all week. He will even tell you about the amazing moments He has created for you during the week. As you can see a lot will go on in this special time, and you need these moments.

We have to spend time with God as often as we can and we have to push for that time. We must create those moments or we will miss those moments. Don't miss those moments! Take the time and just say wait it's tea time and spend time with God. You need those moments!

P.S. Those are the best moments and you can really enjoy your tea without any interruptions!

Was it all that you dreamed of

Top of the morning!!

This is our first official weekend of the 2018! Was it what you dreamed it would be or was it just another year? The same old things you always do every January? I sure hope not, because we just had the new tea and a new promise all for a New Year. You may have had a great week then celebrate, because many more great weeks to come your way. If you didn't have the best week just known you too have many great weeks ahead of you also. I believe on New Year's Eve you hear so much of excitement either you spent the New Year's Eve at church or with friends and family you get excited. You hear vision being taught, or goals being set. This excites you and you get fired up. So what happens when it doesn't happen in the first week?

Do you give up or do you shift and hold on to the promises and goals you have set? I know for me it was a busy week somewhat. I knew I had somethings that had to be taken care of but I didn't allow those things to derail me from my goals. I didn't mention this in my last blog but I'm working on a devotional book. I can't wait; I've been praying and writing. My beautiful kiddos are on Holiday at their grandmothers so a lot of quite time for me. While, kind of because I still have the dogs. Love them too. Back to the point I was making of knowing you'll have somethings you have to do but plan them as much as possible. You can create every week the way you want it to go. I know it will be somethings that are not planned and you have to take care of it but don't let those few things stop you. Keep going after that dream.

This week with my new teas and I have really tasted different types and I hope you have too. Don't allow it to stop just for the New Year's Eve but keep it going. Make those dreams become reality.

I know I would like for you to just write down a few things that will help you next week with staying focused and going after your dreams. I mean right after you finish the blog or just stop and do it right now. I think writing it down and making it clear will help you see every day and it will be a great reminder of what you're going after. You can enjoy life or just allow everything around make your life hard or complicated.  Again rethink this week? Was it really a bad week or was it the way you dreamed it would be? Sometimes you can dream something that is not great because you don't expect anything great to happen. It's all about what you dreamed because you have the control of what you want to see happen in your life. Yes, life does happen but you can change by applying the Word of God as well as speaking and thinking positive.

Hebrews 11:1-3 NLT
'Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.'P.S IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR!!!

NEW TEA A NEW PROMISE ALL FOR A NEW YEAR

Good evening beautiful,

I hope you're able to just take this moment as you read this blog and just relax. Yes, relax you deserve it! The Christmas hustle and bustle is always require an abundance of vigorous of energy. As a mother, wife, Pastor, and any other hat that is needed for operations to keep moving forward. The New Year is in the morning and we need to switch things up a little. I know you ask why, but why not? You'll get tired and over stressed if you don't make a shift.

Now that we're starting a brand new year lets shift our tea or our style of tea. Maybe even find a flavor you have never tried before. I know I will be trying the chi tea not sure which brand but I will be trying it in the new 2018 year. Let me know in the comment section below on which new tea you're willing to try for the New Year.

Sometimes change seems very fearful and sometime it's really hard to adjust to change. This is caused by fear of the unknown. We get trapped and we get so comfortable with what we're doing that it becomes the norm for our lives. When you get your new tea you may look in the aisle and think, "will I like this flavor?" Why not just grab a couple of new teas either in the box, in those really cute tin cans, or even an instant tea mix. Just pick them and step outside of the box. When you get a new tea or new teas you're moving out of the box you have created to expand your horizons. This is the same way with your spiritual walk. You have to step out the box you have created and step out into a space God has created; He (God) has something in-stored for you this New Year. Well, in the morning!! You have the choice to just think and don't move and allow fear to hold you back or just go for it all. God wants to bless you so much in the New Year, but you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone, the same routine, and fear to go after what God has for you.

The new promises will be made or has already been made for you come with you taking the first step in the right directions. The promise can be something as great as your body will be healed. Well, take that promise and start moving toward the promise. If you can select a new tea in a store filled with people you don't know, guess what you can take a step with Father who cares so much for you. The new promise can be whatever you have been praying for and God is saying the promise will come to pass. If you just decide you're going to about this journey in a different way for the New Year. This means get excited; don't allow fear to take control. This also means don't allow your emotions to led you or guide you. I know as women we can be very emotional but you can control your emotions by applying the Word of God. Start tonight as you're doing the count down to a New Year.

This New Year will give you a new attitude; show you a different way of conquering things, even more focused on the promises set before you, and most of all a deeper relationship with God. Isn't this the ultimate goal of getting closer to God? Yes! It's to get closer and seek Him more hear Him even more then going after everything He has offered to us.

Are you excited yet? If not, start getting excited because you are about to be a brand new person in the New Year. A new way to see things, a new way to go after your dreams, a new way of overcoming fear, and a brand new tea to sip on every morning. This is a the year of a new tea and new promise all for this brand new year.
Go after it now because the countdown starts right now..

P.S. I'm starting my count down now, I don't wait until 11:59pm but I’m going to  start right now and then wait for God to do the rest!!!

2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND SPICE TEA

Top of the morning!! Christmas is this Monday!! Are you ready? Tell me in the comments below do you go all out with decorations and gifts? Or do you keep it simple? Can't wait to read how you do Christmas.

This year my husband and I have decided to keep it simple. Spread the love of God and shower those who don't have with many blessings. I know just seeing the Christmas lights gets me all excited. It's like nonstop sparkles for me as well as glitter. Then I bring out all my wonderful spice flavored teas. I will have to share some of my favorite Christmas teas but back to the point of this blog.

Think about this: are you shinning bright on a daily bases or only sometimes and that even depends on how you feel? I believe we should shine bright or even brighter than the Christmas lights. God asked us to be the light of the world. Are we bringing that light to those who don't know who God is or how great God can be in their lives? I know it's a lot to think about but we have to shine bright in a world that is filled with darkness. If you know someone that is sad or not happy with their life, you can be that special light. Meaning just sharing the love and giving them an encouraging word but most of all telling a person about the good news. We can't let our light go dim and surely not in this day and time. Now for this amazing glitter that we can add to our shining light. It's just taking it a step further in allowing our lights to shine but also being generous. This is helping when a person is in need not just telling them things will be okay but really offering assistance. Now that's real glitter! Can you just see how your light is shining then a person tells you they are low on gas or even food, and you add that glitter. Yes honey, you give what you can just to help or even find others to even help to meet that need. That glitter will stay on them even when they can't see a bright light later on in their life or even that day. The glitter as you know doesn't go away very easily. Even after you wipe down the table or even sweep the floor you still find glitter on your face or in your hair! It doesn't go away really easy and you keep finding traces of it for days. We should be the same way when we impact someone's life and shine bright with our light and then leave some type of glitter (be generous) with that person.

The spice tea that I do love especially orange spice by Tazo (BEST TEA EVER). This tea doesn't need anything added to it not even honey. Yes, I said it, not even honey because it has such a natural flavor and the spices are so rich. I love to drink it hot or even room tea it's just that good. For our lives we have to have some spice to it right? I mean in our spiritual walk (let's not go wild here) hahaha! Seriously, in our spiritual walk you can add spice, which would be our salt. If we lose our salt flavor only means we have stopped sharing the Word of God to others. The spice we have to share is on a daily bases. This doesn't mean you have to always say where a scripture is from or speak in the old English with the Thee's and Thy's. Just speak positive and if you understand what the scripture is saying and you can explain it then go for it. When you stop sharing about God and His goodness your spice is now gone. Don't lose your spice and your spice doesn't have to be too much. I mean don't always try to force your spice on someone or try to make someone to understand your spice. Remember that's not your job, your job is to share and allow Holy Spirit to do the rest. Everyone will not like your spice nor how you give it.

Overall you should nevertheless be that sparkling light and the spice of the Good News. Don't just celebrate and enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights and all that wonderful glitter for your natural life but allow it to overflow to your spiritual life.

P.S. I love orange spice and you should share with me in the comments your favorite spice tea. Also go to www.serenityconference.weebly.com and come and hangout with me next June!

Matthew 5:13-16 NLT You are the salt of the earth. But w/hat good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

WHAT NOW MOMENT

Have you ever had those moments no wait those days or weeks where everything seems to be going wrong? Now that you're having your tea and things seem so calm and you're enjoying the moment. Those thoughts didn't go away. Just because you are now in a calm state is your brain in that same state you're in. May be not because you're thinking it's calm all around me so now I can process all that's happened for the week or that one day.

Is it the tea really calming you or is it the peace of God? Yes, you're in a moment and you love that tea because it's your favorite flavor. (I know I am). I love my tea, but I do understand the peace I am feeling is all God. He is the one that is covering me or even clothing me right now with His peace. I know there are different teas out there to give you a natural calmness but nothing like God. Once all of that great and tasty tea is gone your moment of peace or calmness seem to just go away. Especially, when your kids come running into your room, or your kitchen, or your favorite spot for Morning Tea. Your thoughts can really take over and ruin the moment and you get upset at the kids, or the loud dog or whatever has interrupted your peacefully moment. That's not fair to the kids or whomever or whatever you just lashed out at. I had to learn this (it took a very long time and it wasn't not overnight) to understand that it had to do with my thoughts.

My negative thoughts were ruining my Morning Tea moments with God. Then when one of my children and if you read my bio I have ( 4) called me I would say: "WHAT NOW". I would believe they (my kids) were ruining my moment when really it was my negative thoughts. Don't mask that “What Now” outburst with tea thinking it will calm you. Those moments only last for a brief moment and you want something longer. God’s peace will never leave you no matter if it is a “What Now” moment happening for you. Now when those moments start to happen stop, step back, and just breathe. Say to yourself, “God let your peace flow in overtime for me right now in Jesus Name.” Then allow peace to happen for you.

Tea is a great beverage to enjoy but it shouldn't be your source of calmness and peace. Only God can do that and it's long term.

P.S. I love tea, but I love God more.....

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all... 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NLT

It's AMAZING

My favorite phrase is it's AMAZING!!! I love seeing all of the amazing things God do for us on a daily bases. As I sip my tea and I read my bible, or my notes from a past lesson, or even just pray and listen to God talk to me; I ask God please show me something amazing today. God never fails me! I think that's so amazing in itself! Don't you find that amazing? Let me give you an example well more of a little scenario.

You go to the drawer or cupboard (where you keep your tea stash)and low and behold you're out of your favorite tea. Now you'll drink the others but your favorite is what you've been wanting since the time you got up! You may have been  rushing( I'm sure to read my blog) and sip your favorite tea ,and reflect on God's Word for your life.  Reality is, if your children are like mine and it's the weekend they still get up like they have school, which means your time is running down fast. Now let's take a moment and look at this problem and think God is amazing. Every time we ask Him for something or go to Him with a problem He answers. He gives us just what we need even if it's not the favorite answer. The same with your tea this morning. It was amazing you still had some teas even if it wasn't your favorite tea, but you had tea. Right!

You're thinking what's so amazing about just having any kind of your non-favorite tea. Well, because if you don't just look at the negative and think of the positive you'll see that God still provided for you. You didn't know why at the time you bought so many of the other flavors but you did. Now you know it was just for this special moment right here and right now. He provided for you and you didn't even realize it! AMAZING! We have to see the amazing things in life every single day. Ask God during this tea time and then look and expect to see those small amazing things. Everything is not large and grand but everything can have an amazing moment.

P.S.  Enjoy your amazing tea and seek the amazing things from God today... I will because it's AMAZING

Cookie with that tea....

Morning Beautiful it's time for our "Morning Tea." With your morning tea do you think like myself and want something to snack on during that special tea time? I'm asking because those quite moments you're trying to have before your precious little ones arise do you just sip tea? Well, if you do I applaud you!  I always want just a little something to snack on even if it is just a plain cookie.

I think we always shouldn't think cookie right off hand but they are my favorite and plus since I add only honey to my tea I still want a little sugar (real unhealthy sugar)! I wonder how much more do we try to grab because it's so appealing to us and God really didn't want us to have whatever items we're grabbing. Wisdom is screaming to us like don't get the cookie and remember that cookie can be anything in your life. A person (group), job, car, and items we shouldn't purchase, but because we want it we grab it. Just like the cookie we shouldn't grab it but we think about how much we want and how great it'll taste with this amazing orange spice  tea and this amazing rich local honey(oops that's just me)! Back to the point I was trying to make. We want the butter cookie at least I do want the butter cookie. Then once we get the butter cookie or your favorite type of cookie you eat it and think wow what a great cookie. You sip on your tea and take in the moment of this amazing soft cookie.

That's what we do in our relationship with God. We add the things we don't need or we don't listen to lady wisdom when she is crying out to us saying don't buy that, don't take that job, don't eat that. Then we do it but later we do feel bad or strongly dislike (not hate) or maybe you do hate going to work out. The sad part is we don't think about the gym until we realize we have to go and never think of the cookie as pounds just added or calories we have to work off later. We think of the right now moments and in those moments we just go for it without thoughts of what will happen later. I know that job paid more money, but the pain and the suffering of not having peace or joy and you think was it all worth it in the end.

God doesn't want us to live like that of regrets after regrets but He wants us to be happy and enjoy life that He has created for us. God's blessings are just like receiving a cookie or even an entire dessert bar daily, because He gives not just a little but He gives until our cups run over.

With your tea this morning don't add a natural cookie( at least not a lot of them) but enjoy a daily dessert bar with God's Word and seek all His blessings for YOU!!!

P.S. I had 2 butter cookies and they weren’t too small either. Remember I’ll have to pay for those two cookies later when I put my mile in to walk or a little longer walk now.... but enjoy your tea!!

Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice!! Prov.8:1 NLT
